Dr Simon Box, University of Southampton What advice would you give a school child who is interested in science? I can’t stress this strongly enough. You do not have to have a massive brain to become a scientist or engineer. It does not matter if you are not top of your science or maths class. If you are interested in the world around you, for example, if you are not happy just to fly in a plane, but you want to know how it’s keeping you up, then you are scientist material. If you follow that instinct and put some effort in the ability will come to you. |
