In 2012, the Royal Society received over 6,000 article submissions with over 75% of our authors internationally based across 87 countries. Furthermore, with thousands of institutions in over 200 countries accessing 12 million articles from the Royal Society journals collection, it is clear that most researchers prefer to get their information online.
In 2013, the Royal Society aims to further disseminate scientific knowledge by helping researchers improve their ability to easily search, save and cite research. We will be working closely with our technology partner, HighWire, to introduce several new features including Altmetric and “mobile friendly” access to all users. We are also working closely with institutions to ensure they can access our archive of over 70,000 articles, either via special offer access in 2013 or access to parts of the archive that are free. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to set up your institution.
